Job the Book

I am not into poetry, but am considering getting this book.



Recently, I listened to messages online by John Piper, from a regional conference in Austin, TX (available online). He's got a new book out on Job: Job. In the Q & A session (online), Piper mentions Vicki's blog, a young woman who has suffered from a birth defect that deformed her face. I had a bout with bells palsy which paralyzed one side of my face - but that was only a month long bout. I remember feeling uncomfortable and self conscious and dreading the acupuncture sessions. That was nothing in comparison to the kind of long term suffering and pain that is described in these posts. So encouraging to read of how they trusted in God through their suffering.
